Russian President Vladimir Putin in an interview with Director Oliver stone in the film shown on the TV channel Showtime, said that he was in constant contact with the former President of the United States Barack Obama on the situation in the East of Ukraine since the crisis began in 2014.
“We can say that we were constantly in contact by phone”, – said Putin.
Thus, answering the question, did they agree, Putin answered “no.” However, the Russian leader stressed that the talks with Obama always was business related.
“We were different grades… about the causes of the crisis in Ukraine and its progress. The dialogue has a practical nature. Interested in dialogue, not confrontational at all,” Putin said.
