Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan sent on Monday a congratulatory message to Russian leader Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev on the occasion of the day of Russia, reported the press service of the Armenian leader.
Sargsyan said that over the last years Armenian-Russian relations based on the solid Foundation of centuries-old friendship and brotherhood of the peoples of the two countries, enriched with a qualitatively new content.
“An active political dialogue and constructive engagement on key issues of regional and international agenda, joint implementation of bilateral projects in economic, military-technical, cultural-humanitarian and other spheres in the interests of allied relations of Armenia and Russia”, — stated in the message.
“I am confident that with joint efforts we will ensure further development of strategic partnership of Armenia and Russia, both in bilateral and multilateral formats for the benefit of our countries and peoples, in the interests of strengthening regional security and stability,” Serzh Sargsyan said.
According to the press service, Monday, the Armenian President also visited the Russian Embassy in Yerevan and congratulated on the occasion of the Russian Ambassador Ivan Volinkin, the staff of the Embassy and in their person the brotherly people of Russia wished peace and prosperity.
