The organizers of a protest action in Moscow on the Sakharov Avenue on June 12 are provocative. This statement was made by the head of Department of regional security of the capital Vladimir Chernikov. On it informs Agency “Interfax”.

Chernikov said that the city authorities have fulfilled all the items mentioned by the organizers in the application for holding the rally. Explaining the requirements of the municipality to refuse the screen, the head of the Department said that the screen will increase the density of people in the venue, in the event of unforeseen circumstances can lead to serious consequences. In addition, the official noted that in the capital, there are enhanced security measures in connection with the holding of the FIFA Confederations Cup. Chernikov said that the June 7 meeting to discuss the details of the upcoming action, the opposition left the room without explanation. The Commissioner said he did not understand what caused such a reaction.

On 7 June the city agreed to a rally on Academician Sakharov Avenue on June 12. However, the Director of Fund of struggle against corruption (FBK) Roman Rubanov, acted as one of organizers of the event, said that the city authorities impose a number of requirements with which they cannot agree. In particular, officials need to abandon the screens and sound equipment. Rubanov said that in this format it is impossible to hold the event. The organizers of the March added that if the municipality will continue to hamper the shares, “people will take you where you want to.” The application to hold the event was submitted at the end of may. Initially, the organizers planned to hold a March along Tverskaya ulitsa, but city hall refused to grant permission, citing celebrations in the city centre.
