In Roshydromet commented on the initiative of the head EMERCOM of Russia Vladimir Puchkov proposed to penalize forecasters for inaccurate and untimely forecast, reports RT.
“Anything new they come up with. We have a long time in the office and in the field forecasters deprimiruth for unjustified prediction. If you knew how we get people you would even did not go to work for the money. If staff received a hundred thousand a month, then it was justified. And they are paid five times less,” — said the Deputy head of the situational center Roshydromet Anatoly Tsygankov.
In the state Duma the idea of economic responsibility for inaccurate prediction was not supported. “It is impossible to settle a liability for unintentional actions, without intent. We understand that the methods of determining the weather not allow the accuracy to predict. Here the problem is not the malicious actions of employees of Roshydromet, and the imperfection of the method”, — said the Agency “Moscow” the first Deputy Chairman of the Duma Committee on state building and law Mikhail Emelyanov.
Earlier, on 5 June, Puchkov proposed to fine officials for false predictions. For this purpose he proposed to develop an algorithm economic responsibility of the territorial departments of Roshydromet.
In the spring of 2016 Deputy from the LDPR faction Sergei Ivanov submitted to the state Duma a bill introducing fines of from 10 to 20 thousand rubles for incorrect weather forecasts, which the citizens, their property, animals or the environment was harmed.
