“We discussed the possibility of selling systems s-400. We are ready for it. As for cooperation, it is a separate question related to the willingness of the Turkish industry. We this technique while abroad never produced,” said the President.
Putin reminded about the long term a number of joint military programs, citing the example of Russian-Indian missile BrahMos. “So for decades is because it requires a lot of training technology and training. The first statement of intent of the Turkish military to obtain s-400 appeared in the fall of 2016. In the spring of 2017, the question was repeatedly discussed at the highest level, including twice (in March and in may) — bilateral meetings between Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

According to the manufacturer, the s-400 is capable of hitting all available means of air attack, including aircraft, helicopters, unmanned aerial vehicles, cruise missiles and tactical ballistic missiles with maximum speeds up to 4.8 kilometers per second.
