The defense Ministry announced the plan for the spring draft into the army
Moscow. April 1. INTERFAX.RU — during a spring appeal of citizens on military service, which will begin on 1 April, the troops will be sent to the 142 million Russian citizens, according to the defense Ministry.
“In the spring draft campaign will be called into military service and sent to its passage in the Armed forces (AF) of the Russian Federation, other troops, military formations and bodies 142 thousand people”, — stated in the message of Department of information and mass communications of the Russian defense Ministry received by “Interfax”.

Earlier, the official portal of legal information was published the decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, according to which from 1 April to 15 July for military service is planned to call 142 thousand people aged 18 to 27 not being in stock and subject to appeal. The decree also provides for the dismissal of soldiers, sailors, sergeants and foremen, term of military service on call has expired.
Yesterday the Minister of defence of the Russian Federation General of the army Sergei Shoigu said that for the first time in the spring appeal this year Crimeans will pass military service in all regions of the country.
“I want to start with the fact that tomorrow starts another draft campaign, which runs until July 15. In accordance with the decree of the President of Russia it is planned to call 142 thousand people. Among them — citizens of the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol, which since the spring of this year will take place military service in all parts of our country,” — said Shoigu on Friday on a conference call.
In connection with the spring urging the press service of the defense Ministry recalled that on 1 January 2017 entered into force amendments to the Federal law “On military duty and military service”.
Also this year, an updated list of regions of the far North, where the conscription of citizens for military service will be carried out once a year (spring or fall).

It is also noted that all recruits in adherence to the place of passage of military service will be provided with food rations for the entire route. At military airfields deployed special points, where comfortable conditions are created and provided three hot meals of recruits, but also equipped berths, where in case of flight delays will be posted the team’s recruits.
“In pursuit of military trains more than three days, provided meals for recruits in the dining cars,” — said in a press release.
