Researchers found that Tetris helps to prevent post-traumatic stress disorder

Researchers at Oxford University, together with colleagues from the Karolinska Institute discovered that Tetris could prevent post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). About it reports The Telegraph.

Scientists say that the risk to develop PTSD in victims in car accidents who were allowed to play Tetris within six hours after the disaster, was much less.

At the moment, the researchers analyzed 71 cases, however, they need to run more experiments to confirm his hypothesis.

Post-traumatic stress disorder can occur in victims of natural disasters, terrorist acts and military operations, among other things. PTSD is treated with psychotherapy and medication ways.

Tetris was invented in 1984 by Soviet programmer Alexey Pajitnov.
