Milon refused to be afraid of the head of the Grand Lodge of Russia

State Duma Deputy Vitaly Milonov, who applied to the Prosecutor with a request to check the activities of Masonic organizations in Russia, said that he is not afraid to meet with the head of the Grand Lodge of Russia (VLR) Andrey Bogdanov. His words leads RIA Novosti on Tuesday, March 21.

“With impatience I shall wait for the response of the attorney-General personally participate in various audits, expert assessments, — said the MP. — By results of work of bodies I’m not afraid to meet with Mr. Bogdanov in all instances”.

That Milonov has appealed to the Prosecutor General Yuri Chaika asking to check the current in Russia the Masonic community, it became known earlier on Tuesday. In his opinion, they are trying to interfere in the internal politics of the country.

Bogdanov said he was willing to answer all the questions law enforcement, if necessary. Milonova he recalled that in the ranks of the Freemasons consisted of famous Russian figures.

VLR was established in June 1995. It was the first national Grand Lodge established after the prohibition of masonry in 1822. “Freemasonry is a loose network of independent people regardless of their religion, striving to implement the ideals of peace, love and brotherhood,” reads the organization’s website. Its head Andrei Bogdanov in 2008 ran for President of Russia.
