According to the Director Tatiana Lioznova, it would interrupt the viewing experience. Went from reverse — to first chose a place in Moscow, where he arrives a village resident Nura (Tatyana Doronina) to sell homemade ham on behalf of her husband, Grisha (Vyacheslav Shalevich). Decided that the daughter-in-law Nina (Alevtina Rumyantseva) will live near the Plyushchikha street….
The painting “Three poplars at Plyushchikha” became a kind of cineamatic Moscow.
The film starts with a morning city landscape — Taras Shevchenko embankment, in the background you can see Moscow state University. Pleasure boats are moored, waiting for passengers near Gorky Park, away Frunzenskaya embankment and Crimean bridge. We see round Dzerzhinsky square (Lubyanka), built around the monument, “Children’s world” in the background — the building of the hotel “Intourist” and the new building of the building of the Council of Ministers of the USSR. We show the Crimean overpass, land lobby of metro station “Park of culture”.
Intelligent taxi driver Sasha (Oleg Efremov) picks up the Nura on Komsomolskaya square. The eyes of the protagonist Doronina we look at two high-rise buildings, the Columbus viaduct. But yet the store “Moscow” and Sakharov Avenue — old buildings of the former Dominikowski street.
1967-2017 gg Taxi driver Sasha, played by Oleg Yefremov picks up the village woman Nura, the heroine of Tatyana Doronina, on Komsomolskaya square. The place is since 1967 have changed incredibly. There are already two skyscrapers, Kalanchevskaya overpass. But there is no Department store “Moscow” and Sakharov Avenue — old buildings of the former Dominikowski street.
One of the passengers in taxi Sasha landed on Bolshaya Pirogovskaya, 51. This is the dormitory of the Institute of red professors, a good example of the architectural avant-garde of the 1920s-1930s In plan, the building resembles a saw.
But in the future to travel to Moscow confusion begins. In reality from Bolshaya Pirogovskaya to Plyushchikha, where the Nura hand. But taxi travels around the Moscow Garden ring, Manezhnaya square, Kalinin prospect (now Novy Arbat). The frame gets a final stage of construction of the New Arbat. Everywhere cranes — is the key the Moscow building of the 1960s. Already built houses, books and high-rise buildings on the opposite side, but of the Windows were not yet glazed. Between the houses-books yet stores “Muscovite” and “Spring”, bar “the Zhiguli”.
With the New Arbat, the characters in the movie somehow leave in Sivtsev Vrazhek, again looking at the Manege square. In 1967 she was still driving, flying cars, buses. Then Nura and Sasha are on the Smolenskaya embankment, then returned to Komsomolskaya square. The hero buys the cinema “Horizon” tickets. Then they go to the Big Garden, visible high-rise building on Uprising square, and again to the Smolensk waterfront.
Instead of dancing — shooting
Finally, after this long voyage, they arrive at Plyushchikha. Before this happens an interesting dialogue. Character explains where she needs: “There’s a house that overlooked it. Everywhere you see”. — “High-rise? So it is in Smolensk”. “What are you, on Smolensk… a Bridge there. And the old Church. As the house is folded, so the Church went into the ground. Skukozhilas”.
Nura describes a very specific place. This famous Home architects, which looks at the Moscow river (Rostov embankment, 5). The building shows the front and backside. When Nura goes to the window, we see Rostov alleys near the Plyushchikha. By the way, home scenes were shot not in the pavilion, and in a real apartment house. The hosts for the time lost to housing the crew. Rustic scenes also filmed in real houses in the village Sedovo Moscow region.
In the yard architects do once stood the “Church of old” — the Annunciation of the Lord XVII century by the Architect Shchusev, chose for his unusual buildings form a horseshoe below the old temple bypassed. In 1932 the Church was a warehouse, and at the junction of the 1960-1970s, the Church was demolished.
If you remember, Sasha is waiting for Nura near the cafe “Three poplars” in the 6-m Rostov lane. Older residents tell of Plyushchikha: when I saw that in the area built a wooden platform, very happy — will be a place for dancing. And what was the disappointment when it turned out that it was the scenery for the filming, and the dance floor can not see them. So “Three poplars” on Plyushchikha is not a tree, and film cafe. Now this place Parking.
Seven sisters
As good as the film Tatyana Lioznova, the Stalinist skyscraper was not in the film. Shows all of the “seven sisters” as they call them aliens: on Kalanchevke, Tinkers, on Uprising square (now Kudrinskaya), Moscow state University, the Ministry of foreign Affairs, hotel “Ukraine” and “Leningrad”.
The skyscrapers in the film appear by chance, because it is the pride of the distinguishing sign of the capital. The idea of their construction was adopted in 1947, when Moscow for the first time lavishly celebrated his birthday — 800 years.
Should appear 8 skyscrapers — each symbolized a century, lived in Moscow. Laid eight foundations. The eighth skyscraper by the architect Dmitry Chechulin was supposed to be in charge and become the biggest of all. But at a certain stage of construction has realized it: if you display a planned height of 34 floors, plus the spire with the tower, then it will be under constant bombardment the entire territory of the Kremlin… a Construction freeze. Dmitri then a long 10 years reworking the project. And adapted the Foundation also for a giant, but still horizontally oriented complex of hotel “Russia”. In 2006 it was demolished.
Viewers of the painting “Three poplars at Plyushchikha” eyes of Nura, admiring the power and beauty of the capital, see a huge modern city with wide avenues, beautiful squares and unique buildings. Moscow in the film dynamic, actively developing. A lot of transport: buses, trolley buses, cars, trams, river boats. Village resident shocked by the pace of life in the capital. However, today, the people who first arrived in Moscow, marvel at the power and beauty of our city.
