In clashes with the police in Batumi were injured 22 people

Moscow. March 12. INTERFAX.RU — as a result of clashes of riot police with protesters in Batumi (Georgia) for medical assistance 22 citizen, including six police, said on Sunday night the Minister of health of Adjara Zaal Mikeladze.
Most of the injured have already been discharged from bolnitsa Mielziner of health of Adjara
Meanwhile, six of those detained during the protests the demonstrators were released, said the interior Minister of Georgia Giorgi mghebrishvili. At the same time, he said, violators brought to administrative responsibility.
“I took into account the request of the Chairman of Adjara government Zurab Pataradze for the release of these citizens. What is happening in Adjara, is completely unacceptable. Such provocative actions will not prevent us to fulfill the law, and all those who put themselves above the law, will be strictly punished”, — said Mr. mghebrishvili.

He noted that, if necessary, in Adjara will be deployed additional police officers. “If need be, we will produce in their system reshuffle,” said the Minister.
The situation in Batumi escalated a few hours ago after the arrest by a police patrol, the two drivers who, professing his innocence, adamantly refused to pay the fines
The police used force against them, handcuffed. Police detained four local citizens, which was transported to the police Department of Ajara.
At the police headquarters in Batumi had a rally demanding the release of detainees. Later, the protesters tried to break into the police headquarters, but caused by special forces did not allow them to do so. Riot police used tear gas and rubber bullets against the protesters.
