2018 the number of Russian universities will begin to introduce electronic form of learning that does not require personal presence of students and lecturers in the classroom. Until the end of the year the Ministry of education will conduct an experiment comparing the effectiveness of full-time models of online learning.
It is noted that tested two models of e-learning. The first form involves the complete replacement of the internal form to an online course, the second — replace “live” lectures partially.
— International and domestic experience shows that students are interested in using online courses, — noted in the Ministry.
In parallel with the replacement of the courses the project involves the development of new approaches to the whole educational programme, which will use online technology. We are talking about the use of virtual academic mobility and the creation of individual courses.
In the Ministry of education believe that the result will be described an optimal model of using online courses as part of the educational process in a particular University. It is expected that eventually it will increase the efficiency of education without leaving full-time will expand to a competent level and in the online environment. The students will be able to choose the online model of education.
However, the experts expressed a number of concerns due to the introduction of electronic forms. In particular, they note, this can lead to a decrease in the number of teaching staff, especially from the rank and file teachers. Their work can be manifested less interest in the conditions where students will have the opportunity to listen to only the best teachers.
