- Moscow region — 1180 (645,259),
- Sverdlovsk and Chelyabinsk regions – 445 each (200 040 and 146 573),
- Krasnodar Territory — 432 (119 993).

Earlier, Rospotrebnadzor said that they expect the situation with COVID-19 to worsen after the New Year. The head of the department, Anna Popova, noted that Russia is approaching the new year with a stabilizing coronavirus situation. She also added that in Russia is still dominated by the delta strain, despite the risk of the spread of omicron.
