“As the largest military alliance in the & nbsp; world, NATO must abandon & nbsp; the Cold War mentality, and more prejudices efforts contributing to the maintenance of international and & nbsp; regional security and & nbsp; stability & raquo;, & nbsp; & mdash; this is how the & nbsp; department commented on Russia's proposals on & nbsp; security guarantees.
On December 17, the Russian Foreign Ministry published draft agreements with & nbsp; NATO and & nbsp; the United States on & nbsp; security guarantees in & nbsp; Europe. The initiatives contain demands not to & nbsp; consider Moscow as an adversary, not & nbsp; create threats of military escalation and & nbsp; abandon & nbsp; NATO's expansion to the & nbsp; East.
Russia also offered the alliance countries not to & nbsp; include Ukraine in the & nbsp; composition of the organization.
