Alexei Pushkov
The President of the United States Donald trump surrounds himself with people who do not want to improve relations with Russia, and cooperation against the “Islamic state” (IG; organization banned in Russia). This view was expressed by a member of the Federation Council Alexei Pushkov in his microblog on Twitter on Thursday, 9 March.
Thus he commented on the possible appointment of the head of the Atlantic Council, a former Governor of Utah John Huntsman was appointed Ambassador in Moscow.

That trump suggested the Huntsman to become Ambassador to Russia, the newspaper Politico reported on 8 March. The politician has not yet given an official response, at the same time, the publication claims that he is ready to accept the proposal of the American leader.
Currently, the U.S. Ambassador in Moscow is John Tefft, he has held this post since 2014.
The huntsman, a Republican, 56. Governor of Utah, he was from 2005 to 2009, from 2009 to 2011 served as the U.S. Ambassador to China. After that, he resigned to run for President of the United States, but was not successful at the party primaries. During the election campaign of 2016, huntsman criticized trump, but later supported his candidacy.
