Governor Andrey Chibis: budget revenues of the Murmansk region increased by 30 percent
Budget revenues of the Murmansk region have grown by 30 percent over the past two years. Governor Andrei Chibis said this at an operational meeting in the regional government, according to the press service of the regional administration.
“Many respected people positively assess the development potential of the Murmansk region. What is especially important is that the increase in the investment attractiveness of the region has led to the fact that over the past two years the budget of the Murmansk region has grown by 30 percent. That is, there is a third more funds that we can invest in the most important spheres for people – health care, renovation of roads, public transport, improvement, education, ”the head of the region emphasized.
The Governor also said that Murmanskaya the region became one of the leaders in the gross regional product in the North-West Federal District, and the growth rate of investments in the region exceeds the average Russian level.
During the meeting, Andrey Chibis thanked the vice-governors Olga Kuznetsova and Elena Diaghileva for the successful presentation region at the XI International Forum “Arctic: Present and Future”, held in St. Petersburg on December 2-4.
