The Prime Minister of Malaysia has accused the DPRK in the capture of his country’s citizens hostage

Prime Minister Najib Razak demanded that the authorities of North Korea to immediately release the citizens of his country. On Tuesday, March 7, according to Reuters.

“This vile act, which is in fact our citizens were taken hostage, completely ignores all international law and diplomatic norms,” said Razak. He also added that urgently convened a meeting of the security Council of Malaysia.

In addition, Prime Minister instructed the police to prevent the departure of citizens of the DPRK from Malaysia “while the authorities were not confident in the safety of all Malaysians in North Korea”.

Earlier Tuesday, Malaysian authorities have sealed off the Embassy of North Korea in Kuala Lumpur to establish the number of employees in it.

“We’re trying to identify all of the Embassy staff that are here,” said the Deputy Minister of internal Affairs, Nur Jazlan Mohamed.
