Russian and US Presidents Vladimir Putin and Joe Biden can meet and negotiate already on December 7th. Kommersant writes about this with reference to sources.

At the same time, the named date has not yet been finalized. According to Kommersant, the meeting of the presidents will most likely be held via video conference.

On December 2, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken met on the sidelines of a meeting of the OSCE Foreign Ministers' Council in Stockholm. They discussed the situation with the work of the Russian and US embassies, touched upon the topics of normalizing the crisis in southeastern Ukraine and the process of resuming the Iranian nuclear deal.

For his part, Lavrov said about the possibility of restoring the Russian-American dialogue on Ukraine. According to him, Moscow could unite with Washington to resolve the crisis within the framework of the “Normandy format” negotiations.
