So, Russians have the opportunity to relax longer in the republic – now registration before departure flights from Egyptian resorts opens in three hours, and not five, as was earlier.
It is noted that this happened due to the optimization of inspection procedures and the involvement of more employees at all stages of inspections, as well as more rational use of space in the terminal where Russian passengers are located.
According to the association's sources in the aviation industry, the average tourist service time at Hurghada airport is 2.5 hours, and in Sharm el-Sheikh – 3.5 hours.
Earlier in December, the representative of the Egyptian tourism industry, Isam Ali, commented information on the closure of the country to foreign travelers. According to him, there are no prerequisites for this, since not a single case of infection with the new omicron strain COVID-19 has been detected in the republic.
