Former employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs who raped 27 Russian women will be released ahead of schedule

The court in Nizhny Tagil mitigated the punishment for the police officer Kositsyn for the rape of 27 girls Russian Artur Kositsyn, serving a 13-year sentence for the rape of 27 girls in Moscow. This is reported by the E1.RU edition.

It was decided to mitigate the sentence to the convicted policeman: he will be released from the colony a year ahead of schedule and sent to forced labor. The prosecutor's office and the administration of the colony are against the release of the maniac. The final decision will be made by the Sverdlovsk Regional Court. The ex-policeman has been trying to be released since 2017.

In 2011, the Nagatinsky Court of Moscow sentenced him to 13 years and 10 months in prison. After serving half of the term, he began to ask for the remainder of the term to be replaced with forced labor. The district court satisfies these requests, and the regional court cancels.

According to the investigation, from 2005 to 2009, Kositsyn's victims were 27 women in the Biryulyovo and Zyablikovo districts of Moscow. He committed eight rapes, five attempted rapes, 18 violent incidents and four attempted sexual assault. To intimidate women, the policeman used a road inspector's baton, into which an awl was mounted – he used it to stab the victims in the neck.
