“Center for the Development of Political Capital” presented the rating of Telegram-channels of politicians 
channels of Russian politicians, prepared on the basis of a detailed analysis of Medialogia and TGStat data. The Top 10 includes the highest quality resources in terms of influence, audience engagement, and overall reach.
More than 100 Telegram channels of Russian politicians took part in the study of specialists. They were evaluated from November 25, 2020 to November 25, 2021. The final sample included the Internet resources of State Duma deputies and members of the Federation Council, representatives of federal executive bodies, heads of regions, leaders of political parties, deputies of regional legislative assemblies.
Telegram channels of State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin are among the top three in the rating. , Head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov and Director of the Information and Press Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia Maria Zakharova.
The TOP-10 also includes the channels of the head of the New People faction in the State Duma Alexei Nechaev, his deputy Sardana Avksentieva, State Duma deputies Mikhail Delyagin and Maria Butina, the leader of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia Vladimir Zhirinovsky, the governor of the Moscow region Andrei Vorobyov, and co-chairman of the For Pravda party Zakhara Prilepina. The channels of Volodin, Zakharova, Nechaev and Avksentieva were created in 2021.
“Telegram has become one of the most influential social platforms among the politically and civically active part of the population over the past two years. Against the background of the growing popularity of the messenger among a wide audience, it is obvious that Telegram is becoming one of the most effective political tools in Russia, ”said Artyom Bassaraba, an expert at the Center for the Development of Political Capital.
He also noted that Volodin set a new trend. After all, it was he who decided to open comments.
According to the expert, the success of many channels in the TOP-10 is due to the fact that their authors understand the political value of Telegram and made it a priority in their communications.
