“The conflict brings suffering to the population living on both sides of the contact line. The growth of tensions inside and around Ukraine, which we have observed this year, inspires deep concern, “Linde said at the opening of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the OSCE member states.
She also noted that the military crisis in eastern Ukraine became a serious challenge for Europe. According to her, today there is no progress in achieving a sustainable political settlement with respect for territorial integrity and internationally recognized borders.
Earlier, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said that Russia is not only preparing a large-scale operation against Ukraine, but is also trying to destabilize the political situation in this country from the inside. He noted that the Russian armed forces are deploying tens of thousands of combat units on the border with Ukraine.
