On December 1, 2021, a solemn ceremony was held in the Digital Business Space to award the winners of the large-scale All-Russian competition – the first season of the League of Lecturers. A hundred finalists from 40 regions of Russia gathered in the hall to find out the names of the best lecturers in the country.

Fifty winners received awards from the hands of the First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Russian Society “Knowledge” Sergei Kirienko. These are cubes from a rare rock, shungite, weighing 2.6 kilograms. The choice of material emphasizes the unique talent of the lecturers and their significant contribution to the development of education in the country. Sergei Kiriyenko also announced that the winners of the first season of the League of Lecturers will receive grants in the amount of 500 thousand rubles for training and development of their educational projects. The same award awaits everyone who becomes the best in the next seasons of the competition.

Among the laureates of the League of Lecturers are residents of 22 regions of Russia: from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Penza, Smolensk, Belgorod, Saransk, Noyabrsk on Yamal, the city of Gadzhievo, Murmansk region and others. These are representatives of completely different spheres of knowledge and professions, for example, Doctor of Philosophy, professor, veteran of labor from Penza; artistic director of the theater workshop from Voronezh; Associate Professor at the Institute of Living Systems, IKBFU I. Starting next season, grants of 500 thousand rubles are provided as an additional incentive for the winners of the League of Lecturers, which can be spent on improving their qualifications, training, as well as developing and creating their own educational content. Sergey Kiriyenko also added that in six months more than 7,000 lecturers have joined the Russian Knowledge Society, who have already read more than 15,000 lectures throughout the country.

The winners of the competition were determined by the results of the finalists' performances, which took place on November 29 and 30 at the venues of leading Russian universities: Lomonosov Moscow State University, MGIMO, HSE, RGGU, RUDN, Bauman Moscow State Technical University, MAI, Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University and RANEPA. The speeches of the finalists gathered a wide audience of interested listeners who, together with experts, evaluated the speeches. presented topics from various fields of knowledge, for example: “How to see a black hole?” , “Manipulation of consciousness by means of modern technologies”, “Human bones.
