Ministry of Economic Development: Inflation accelerated from 23 to 29 November to 8.38% in annual terms 
Inflation in Russia from 23 to 29 November accelerated to 8.38 percent in annual terms, according to the review “On the current price situation”, prepared by the Ministry of Economic Development. A week earlier, the figure was 8.05 percent.
The document explains that inflation for the week was 0.46 percent. The main contribution to the rise in prices was made by the tourism services sector: trips to Turkey increased by 55.2 percent. “The growth in food prices slowed down to 0.24 percent (0.3 percent a week earlier), while the decline in prices for fruits and vegetables accelerated (-0.38 percent after -0.1 percent),” the review says. >
Inflation in Russia from the beginning of the year to November 29 reached 7.51 percent, according to Rosstat data. For the period from 23 to 29 November, prices increased by 0.46 percent, since the beginning of November – by 0.96 percent.
For flour, prices from 23 to 29 November increased by 1.1 percent, so the prices for eggs and buckwheat have risen on average throughout the country. Sugar in Russia on average rose by 0.7 percent. The section “Services” also shows a large increase in the average cost of a vacation trip to Turkey – it increased 1.6 times.
The Central Bank has repeatedly pointed out inflation risks, amid rising prices, tightening monetary policy. On November 30, the head of the Bank of Russia Elvira Nabiullina announced that the regulator still expects to return inflation in the country to the target of 4 percent by the end of 2022.
