The general made a deal with the investigation in the case of a scam for 1.6 billion rubles

Kommersant: General of the RF Armed Forces Ogloblin made a deal with the investigation into the theft GUS) of the Armed Forces (Armed Forces) of the Russian Federation, Major General Alexander Ogloblin concluded a pre-trial cooperation agreement with the investigation and testified against other officers in the case of a scam worth 1.6 billion rubles. The serviceman fully admitted his guilt. He called the organizer of the fraudulent scheme the former Deputy Chief of the General Staff – Chief of the Main Administration of the Russian Federation Khalil Arslanov and the ex-head of the orders department for improving the technical basis of the control system of the Russian Armed Forces, Colonel Pavel Kutakhov.

General Ogloblin will be tried in the Moscow garrison military court in a special order, providing for the minimum punishment, since the defendant made a deal with the investigation. He is charged with embezzling 1.6 billion rubles as part of a group of persons in the implementation of state contracts of the Ministry of Defense for the supply of equipment for satellite ground stations and network management monitoring centers at an inflated cost. According to the investigation, from 2013 to 2015, the military and other defendants in the case installed cheap Chinese counterparts instead of expensive Russian devices. The case involves the former general director of Voentelecom Alexander Davydov and his subordinates.

Arslanov is accused of embezzling 6.5 billion rubles in the implementation of state contracts for the production at inflated prices and the supply of portable radio stations Azart to the Armed Forces, taking a bribe 12 million rubles for lobbying the interests of the Yaroslavl Radio Plant for the supply of equipment. And also in the machinations in the Voentelecom case with Ogloblin. Arslanov gets acquainted with the materials of the case, which is 300 volumes. He does not admit his guilt, claiming a slander on the part of Ogloblin.

Earlier, Ogloblin explained the scheme of theft in a criminal case on alleged fraud in the supply of Azart radio stations to the Russian armed forces. Almost finished radio stations were purchased in China, and the final assembly with the installation of some components took place in Russia. This allowed significant savings in production.
