Ukrainian Foreign Minister Kuleba called on NATO to unite efforts to contain Russia

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba took part in a Foreign Ministers of NATO member states. This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.

He called for the unification of efforts of Ukraine and NATO to contain Russia “from further aggressive actions” and suggested that the member states of the North Atlantic Alliance to toughen sanctions against Moscow, as well as to strengthen the defense capabilities of Kiev.

“Ukraine is actively working with partners to implement a comprehensive containment package consisting of political, economic and security measures. Kuleba also informed NATO representatives about the aggravation of the situation in Donbass and denied information about Kiev preparing an offensive operation in the region. According to him, the Ukrainian leadership remains committed to the political and diplomatic way of resolving the conflict and is ready to continue working within the Trilateral Contact Group and the Normandy format.

Earlier, the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Russia, Maria Zakharova, announced that half of the of the Ukrainian army to the conflict zone in Donbass. According to her, the number of the grouping of troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) there reaches 125 thousand people.
