Rabota.ru: every tenth Russian is ready to take out a loan to celebrate the holidays well
Every tenth Russian (11 percent) is ready take out a loan before the New Year to celebrate the holidays well. However, the majority (89 percent) do not consider such an opportunity for themselves. This is evidenced by the results of a survey by the Rabota.ru service, excerpts from it are quoted by TASS.
Of those who are ready to borrow money, 38 percent would like to take 50 thousand rubles, and 25 percent – up to 100 thousand, another 6 percent said they were ready to take more than 150 thousand rubles from the bank. 7 percent are ready to borrow up to 200 thousand rubles, and 5 percent – up to 250 thousand rubles. Over this amount, 19 percent of respondents are ready to borrow on New Year's holidays.
Speaking about spending, the survey participants admitted that they would use the money to buy gifts (56 percent), treats for the festive table (36 percent) and travel (23 percent). In addition, 15 percent of respondents reported that they would spend money on New Year's activities, and 8 percent on winter sports. The study was carried out in November, 5 thousand Russians from all regions of the country took part in it.
At the end of November, the State Duma adopted a draft law in the third reading that will allow the Central Bank of Russia to introduce macroprudential limits for banks and microfinance organizations when issuing loans and loans. In other words, the regulator will be able to impose restrictions by setting the maximum permissible share of certain types of products for credit institutions: in particular, unsecured consumer loans and loans. An exception will be made for loans for education and loans to people with disabilities for the purchase of rehabilitation and treatment. The provisions of the law will take effect on January 1.
