The head of the Vilfand Hydrometeorological Center: a blizzard will come to Moscow on December 1
The first winter snowstorm is predicted in Moscow on Wednesday, December 1. This was stated by the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, Roman Vilfand, quoted by TASS.
“The good news is that on Wednesday there will be light snow, in some areas even moderate, and the wind is up to 15 meters per second. That is, there will be the first blizzard, “- said the forecaster.
He promised that the first day of winter will be frosty – the thermometers will drop to minus 1-3 degrees.
Vilfand added that the snap up to 11 degrees of frost at night and 8 degrees of frost during the day is predicted in Moscow from Sunday, December 5.
Earlier, the head of the Hydrometeorological Center Vilfand spoke about the winter weather in Central Russia. According to him, forecasters predict frosts down to minus 20 degrees and thaws. The specialist noted that temperature fluctuations in Central Russia are associated with climate warming.
