MOSCOW, March 1. /TASS/. Units of the Syrian army entered the city of Palmyra, which is held by militants grouping “Islamic state” (banned in Russia). This was reported by AFP.
Previously received information according to which the army, backed by fighters of the Lebanese Shiite party Hezbollah regained full control of the height of the Jebel et-tar and Jebel Hayal who govern Palmyra (240 km from Damascus).
