U.S. Senator Marco Rubio introduced a bill to rename the street in front of the Russian Embassy in Washington in honor of slain Russian politician Boris Nemtsov, according to the website of the Republican.

“Two years ago, Boris Nemtsov was killed in Moscow on a bridge near the Kremlin, and no one was punished. He was one of the critics [Russian President] Vladimir Putin,” he said.

Senator offers to call her a square of Boris Nemtsov (original – Boris Nemtsov Plaza (open public space like the town square. – “Газета.Ru”).

According to him, the name of the street will remind the authorities and citizens of the country that “defenders of freedom cannot be shut up.”
