Assad appreciated the restoration of Syria to $400 billion
Moscow. May 10. INTERFAX.RU. Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in an interview with the Greek newspaper “Kathimerini” said to restore the destroyed in the war of Syria must be from 200 to 400 billion dollars.
“Hundreds of billions. At least need $200 billion, and, according to some estimates, will require about $400 billion,” — said the Syrian President, answering a question about how much it will cost to rebuild the country.
“Why the amount is inaccurate? Because some areas are still under the control of terrorists… It’s, shall we say, approximate amount,” he added.
Meanwhile, many Western countries have repeatedly stated that they are not ready to provide financial assistance for reconstruction of Syria, there developed a political settlement.
