“Yevgeny Grishkovets, a writer and director, theater and film actor, has become the new chairman of the FSIN Public Council. His candidacy was supported unanimously,” the press service said. Deputy Secretary of the Public Chamber Vyacheslav Grib, introducing the new head of the council, noted that “Grishkovets is an authoritative person who is difficult to put pressure on.”
The first meeting of the new composition of the Public Council under the Federal Penitentiary Service was held in the Public Chamber on Wednesday. The event was attended by the new head of the Federal Penitentiary Service Arkady Gostev.
Previously, the Public Council at the FSIN was headed by director Vladimir Menshov. He died on July 5.
