In Kiev, the court allowed to detain the ex-Minister of Energy of Ukraine Vladimir Demchishin Vladimir Demchishin in a criminal case on aiding terrorism for organizing coal supplies from a part of Donbass not controlled by Kiev. Reported by Interfax-Ukraine.
It is noted that on November 12, Ukrainian law enforcement officers accused him of assisting a terrorist group or terrorist organization. The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine clarified that as of November 19, Demchishin was outside Ukraine, and his exact whereabouts remained unknown.

According to the investigation, after the appointment of the ex-official to the post of minister in December 2014, he was attracted by the “top political leadership of the state” to conclude agreements for the supply of coal from the regions of Donbass not controlled by Kiev.
In the Ukrainian State Bureau of Investigation ( GBR) stressed that Demchishin's actions made the energy sector of Ukraine dependent on Russia and the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics (DPR and LPR), thereby undermining the economic security of the state and depriving the country of the opportunity to diversify energy sources.
Vladimir Demchishin served as Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine from December 2014 to April 2016.
In addition to him, the head of the political council of the Opposition Platform – For Life ( HLE) Viktor Medvedchuk, who was charged in October under articles of treason and aiding terror rism.
