Professor Safonov: the applicant should be alerted to the request to send bank card details
Professor of the Department of Human Resources Management of the Financial University under the Government of Russia Alexander Safonov called the Russians the methods avoid fraudulent distance employment. According to him, first of all, the applicant should be alerted by the request to send bank card details, Sputnik radio reports.
The specialist advised to conduct a “test for fraud”. “If you are asked to send your bank card, the employer is immediately questioned. To protect yourself, at some point refuse to receive funds on the card and offer to pay you money through the cashier in cash, for example, the first month, “the expert explained.
Safonov recalled that all documents are handed over personally to the HR department, they should not be sent in messengers. Passport data, TIN, SNILS are personal data, for the disclosure of which personnel officers are responsible.
The professor added that the applicant must be aware of the location of the organization's office. He noted that fraudsters often use video communication and telephone conversations in a pandemic without disclosing their position. The expert concluded that the employer is obliged to provide full information about himself, and the future employee can check the reviews about him on the Internet.
Earlier, the study of the Zarplata.ru service named the main reasons for refusing to hire. Thus, 35 percent of applicants are rejected because of the discrepancy between salary expectations. Also among the main reasons are lack of experience (30 percent), frequent job changes (15 percent) and high competence of the candidate for the position (8 percent).
