Mikhail Romanov: It is necessary to improve control over the dynamics of wage growth 
in the non-state sector of the economy, coordinating this process with the economy of specific regions. This was stated by the Deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Control, a member of the United Russia faction Mikhail Romanov during the “government hour” with the participation of the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation Anton Kotyakov.

Commenting on the minister's report, Mikhail Romanov noted that the level of wages is the main indicator of the success of state policy aimed at reducing poverty and sustainable growth of citizens' incomes.
“I support the initiative of Viacheslav Volodin on the need for close attention to the correlation between the growth of capitalization of production facilities, the rise in prices and the rise in salaries of non-executive employees in some industries. And I am convinced that it is necessary to cover with this attention not only the state, but also the non-state sector of the economy. It is necessary to improve state control over the alignment of the dynamics of profit of enterprises and the dynamics of growth of wages of their employees. Moreover, such control should be based on the regional economic scale, so that other subjects of the Federation do not measure across Moscow, – emphasized Mikhail Romanov.
The parliamentarian noted that in order to create an effective system of control and state regulation in this matter, intersectoral cooperation and relevant legislative changes are necessary.
“Chairman of the State Duma Viacheslav Volodin proposed to create a specialized working group to raise wages. As part of its activities, the Control Committee, together with the Ministry of Labor, the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans Affairs, will be engaged in the operational development of the necessary legal mechanisms to create a legislative basis for a new wage policy, which, among other things, would include tools to stimulate business to increase wages. Here, at the suggestion of Viacheslav Volodin, it is really possible to use foreign samples. This issue is very relevant now, during a pandemic, when incomes of citizens have decreased in many sectors. But we already understand that it is not yet necessary to wait for the end of the coronavirus epidemic, and people need today to live on something and feed their families. Therefore, it is necessary to promptly create legislative conditions for the growth of wages, – said Mikhail Romanov.
