Ministry of Internal Affairs: men who stole horses from equestrian clubs were detained in the Moscow region and his son, who was on the federal wanted list. They were suspected of stealing horses from equestrian clubs in order to sell them for sausage. On Tuesday, December 7, the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Irina Volk reported to Lente.ru.
At the place of detention, the police found the remains of horses, handicraft sausages, as well as a pickup truck with a special trailer for transporting the kidnapped animals.
According to the investigation, in October 2021, the suspects kidnapped five thoroughbred horses from the paddock on the territory of the equestrian club in the village of Andreevka. The damage from the crime amounted to more than four million rubles. In November, malefactors stole two more horses and two foals in the village of Povarovo.
A criminal case was opened against the father and son under Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Theft”). One of the detainees was taken into custody, while the other was left under house arrest. The police establish all episodes of the defendants' crimes.
