President of Belarus Lukashenko: there have always been about 10 percent of opponents of the state
In Belarus, there have always been about 10 percent of opponents of the state. This number was named by the president of the republic, Alexander Lukashenko, as quoted by BelTA.
The Belarusian leader called on “to be careful” with opponents of the government and “patiently deal” with each of them so as not to repeat old mistakes. “It should not be repeated, as it was in the 1930s: they waved the scythe – and it does not matter who they were hooked on. You can't go head-on: white, red – and went one on one, ”he stressed.
As an example, the head of state cited the children of old oppositionists who live and work in Belarus. “Not all of them are traitors and pests. Many guys, girls of the opposition may have their own point of view, but they work in the country, “Lukashenko said.
Earlier, Lukashenko said that the opposition is preparing to hold new protests in the country. The Belarusian president claims that her plans are to “blow up the situation” in the republic. Lukashenka said that in order to obtain funding, the opposition is ready to substitute the people “under the riot police, under the truncheons, under anything”. Also, according to the Belarusian leader, he was able to familiarize himself with the opposition's program, according to which the upcoming protests should take place in three stages. The third will be exactly the “explosion of the situation”.
