The head of the European People's Party (EPP) faction in the European Parliament Manfred Weber threatened to end Nord Stream 2 in the event of an armed conflict between Russia and Ukraine. His words are quoted by the newspaper Handelsblatt.
Weber considers the real threat of an invasion of Ukraine by Russian troops. According to him, the current situation is “a test for NATO and the Western community.” and called on the German government to clearly outline the consequences for Moscow.
