Boyko, co-chairman of the Oppositional Life Group: negotiations between Kiev and the Russian Federation will help resolve the conflict in Donbass Boyko, on the air of the NASH TV channel, advised the Ukrainian authorities to start negotiations with Russia on the Donbass and the gas contract.
According to him, this will help resolve the conflict in the east of the country and normalize relations between the two states. “Moreover, not only on the conflict in Donbass, and generally on the normalization of relations, because these are our traditional markets,” the politician emphasized.
Boyko also pointed out the need for a gas contract with the Russian Gazprom, since then Kiev could buy gas at $ 300 per cubic meter, and not for 1200, as at present.
Andrey Sushentsov, formerly acting dean of the Faculty of International Relations at MGIMO, program director of the Valdai Discussion Club, said, that the security of Crimea and Donbass, as well as the Russian community in Ukraine, are the main “red lines” for Russia in relations with its neighboring country. He stressed that now Ukraine is becoming “just a circumstance, an obstacle” for Russia.
