The Union of Travel Industry assessed the abolition of checking QR codes before buying air tickets

Vice President of the PCT Gorin called the new rules for checking QR codes an important decision

Vice President of the Russian Union of Travel Industry (PCT) and a member of the Board of the Association of Air Transport Agents (AAVT) Dmitry Gorin in a conversation with “Lenta.ru” positively assessed the idea of refusing to check QR codes on vaccinations before buying air tickets.

Vedomosti previously reported, citing sources, that the Ministry of Transport decided to refuse to check QR codes before purchasing air tickets. The certificate will allegedly be checked only before check-in for the flight.

“Let's hope that this information is reliable, since there really is such a dialogue, our two organizations offered exactly this. This is a very important decision, which makes it possible to buy tickets in advance, since many now have a question about revaccination and receiving new QR codes, ”Gorin said. He also noted that hearings on the approval of amendments to the Air Code and the Charter of Railway Transport will begin only after December 14, “therefore, there is still time for those who do not have codes to receive them, since they will be needed for both domestic and international flights, and travel by rail. ”
