The most popular city in Russia where tourists go to meet New Year's Eve together, became Yalta. This became known from the results of a study of the Tvil.ru vacation rental service.
The resort city of Sochi was in second place in the ranking, and the northern capital of Russia, St. Petersburg. Destinations such as Kislovodsk, Kazan, Suzdal, Yekaterinburg, Tomsk and Nizhny Novgorod have also become popular among Russians during the New Year holidays.

The research data was provided on the basis of accommodation bookings by tourists traveling together, from December 30, 2021 to January 10, 2022.
Earlier in October, the Russians were named the best travel destinations in the off-season. Thus, Yalta, Sochi and St. Petersburg have become popular destinations for trips during the low season.
