Afghan Ambassador to Russia Javad: 95% of Afghans will face hunger in winter 
At least 95 percent of Afghanistan's population will face hunger in winter. This development of the situation in the country was predicted by the Afghan Ambassador to Russia Said Tayeb Javad in an interview with the TASS agency.
According to the diplomat, after the seizure of power by the militants of the radical Taliban movement (a terrorist organization banned in Russia) hard days have come for the inhabitants of the republic. “We are faced with an acute food shortage and economic collapse, despair, hopelessness,” he said.
Javad noted that citizens are not paid for their work and are looking for ways to go abroad. In his opinion, despite the fact that at the moment there is no coordinated resistance to the Taliban from the outside, it will gradually grow. “In addition, the Taliban will explode from within, because there are many disagreements between different factions,” the ambassador said. He noted that the militants do not understand how to govern the state, so the current situation will not last long.
Earlier it became known that the World Bank is preparing to unfreeze part of Afghan assets in the amount of $ 280 million to send humanitarian aid to Afghanistan. To do this, the bank needs to obtain permits from 31 donors of the Afghanistan Reconstruction Trust Fund, which is also managed by the bank's structures. The donor meeting will take place on December 3rd.
