“I suppressed my [sexual] orientation so much that I started taking medication for depression and nervous disorders every day. As a result, it made me paranoid: I stopped trusting most of my acquaintances and was ready to do anything to protect my secret, “Underwood recalled.
During a conversation on camera with his old friend, the Bachelor star with tears in his eyes, he said that one night despair so overwhelmed him that he attempted suicide. This happened shortly after Underwood broke up with ex-girlfriend Cassie Randolph, who won the 2019 Bachelor.
Colton Underwood came out in the spring of 2021 on Good Morning America (“Good Morning America”). Then the young man said that he was nervous about his confession, but at the same time he felt relief and was even proud of his homosexuality.
