OneTwoTrip: Russians want to visit Italy, Turkey and the United States in 2022 
Russian tourists most want to visit three countries in 2022 – Italy, Turkey and the USA. This became known from the results of a survey of the travel service OneTwoTrip, which were received by the editorial board of Lenta.ru.
Thus, the share of foreign destinations in the desired vacation locations was 85 percent versus 15 in Russia. The most popular foreign country was Italy – 11.2 percent of Russians wanted to visit it in the new year, followed by Turkey – 6.5 percent and the United States – 5.6 percent.
Travelers also admitted that in 2022 would like to visit St. Petersburg – this was reported by 15 percent of the respondents. Another 8.7 percent chose Kaliningrad, while Baikal was preferred by 5.3 percent.
Nevertheless, 76 percent of the respondents still have no idea where they will go on vacation in the coming year. The share of those who have already managed to purchase tickets for their vacations was 17 percent, and 13 percent of those who booked a hotel. At the same time, 57 percent of survey participants said that in 2022 they would like to make at least three trips, 43 percent plan to travel even more.
It was noted that if in 2022 there will be even more available foreign destinations, then 70 percent of respondents will increase the number of trips for them. Another 80 percent of Russians are confident that in this situation they will choose foreign trips instead of Russian ones. Moreover, 77 percent of tourists admitted that even mandatory QR codes will not become an obstacle for them to travel around the country and abroad.
Earlier in December, the Russians revealed what they would do on non-working days from December 31 until January 9th. The majority of survey participants (27 percent) admitted that they plan to visit relatives or friends for the winter holidays.
