Blogger Varlamov lost court due to a publication about Petrozavodsk “shit guardians”
publications about signboards in Petrozavodsk. The Moscow City Court ordered Varlamov to remove the post and pay compensation to the plaintiffs, writes “7×7”.
The court initiated the Karelian HOA. For “offensive words” the tenants asked for compensation in the form of two million rubles, but by a court decision they will receive 10 thousand. In the publication, the blogger called Petrozavodsk entrepreneurs and opponents of the new rules for placing signs in the city “shit guards on guard of visual debris.” “All these wonderful people dream of further disfiguring Petrozavodsk, so that every day the townspeople are sick of their colorful advertising, which they have dirtied every piece of space,” wrote the blogger.
The court ordered him not only to remove the publication, but also place a refutation on the website – the operative part of the judgment. The blogger's interests were represented by lawyers, he himself was not present in court.
Earlier, Varlamov defended the scandalous cat monument in Kurgan, which was dismantled due to the discontent of the city residents. He proposed to install the sculpture in a “less popular part of the city.” The authorities later announced that the monument to the animal had been moved to a shopping and entertainment center.
