Foreign Minister Lavrov: NATO refuses proposals to ease tensions near Russia's borders
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov accused NATO of refusing proposals to ease tensions along the Russian borders. TASS writes about this.
“NATO continues to escalate the situation right on our borders. NATO refuses to consider our proposals to defuse tensions and prevent dangerous incidents, “the Russian minister said at a meeting of the OSCE Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM).
In personal talks with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, Lavrov noted Russia's readiness to restore dialogue with the American side. He noted that, on the one hand, it is possible to quickly resolve the problematic situation with the embassies of both countries, and on the other, return to constructive negotiations on a settlement in Ukraine.
