The head of the IRGC military unit threatened the United States with a response in the event of a military intervention
If the United States decides to intervene militarily in Iran, the authorities will be ready to take a tough response … This was stated by Ismail Kaani, head of Quds, a military unit of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). The quote is given by RT.
According to Kaani, the United States may strike at Iran from one of the bases in the Middle East: for example, from Syria, Qatar, Kuwait or Iraq. In addition, the American authorities are already “mocking” Tehran, applying tough sanctions, the military man is sure. However, the Iranian side continues to actively develop in the military-technical sphere, which is also known in Washington.
“[They know] that if the American troops make the slightest move towards Iran, we will knock their teeth out,” – promised Kaani. He also threatened the United States in the event of an attempt to send troops into the region “more humiliation” than what they experienced during the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan in 2021.
At the same time, Iran and the major nuclear powers are now trying to renew the deal 2015 on the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), according to which Tehran limited its nuclear program in exchange for exemption from economic sanctions by the US, EU and UN. The United States pulled out of the deal in 2018 during Donald Trump's presidential term.
