The Bundestag will hold elections for the new German chancellor on 8 December This was reported by RIA Novosti.
The agency reported that an invitation came from the parliamentary press service to a meeting within which the election of a new federal chancellor will be held. Olaf Scholz, leader of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) is expected to become the leader, as the SPD won the last elections to the Bundestag.
In the previously published coalition agreement of the SPD with the Soyuz90/Greens and the Free Democratic Party (SwPD) also said that Scholz would become the new chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany. In addition, the ruling coalition has already formed the cabinet of ministers, as well as the main directions for future work.
