Police detained 16 thieves in law and crime bosses during an operation in Yerevan

In Yerevan, police detained 16 thieves in law during a sweep and crime bosses. The local edition “News.am” reports this.

On November 26, Armenian law enforcement officers carried out the largest special operation in the country to combat the criminal subculture. Among the detained representatives of the criminal world is a 56-year-old Russian citizen, thief in law Alexander Makaryan, known as Alo Shaumyansky.

The residents of Yerevan – 55-year-old Ruben Kostanian (Bogo), 52-year-old Ashot were forcibly taken to the police Avetisyan (Hasmik), 62-year-old Andranik Terteryan, 42-year-old Zhirayr Brutyan (Malatiai Zhiro), Samvel Harutyunyan (Maneti tha Samo), 41-year-old Rafael Nazaryan, 46-year-old Yuru Udoev, 57-year-old Jindi Amaryan, 53-year-old Andranik Sogoyan (Zapa), 45-year-old thief in law Armen Manukyan (Sevo), 44-year-old Arsen Mkrtchyan, 44-year-old Artyom Harutyunyan (Artyom Kanevsky) and 53-year-old Voskan Mnatsakanyan. They also detained 41-year-old Ara Banduryan (Noratustsi Ara) and 51-year-old Paruyr Grigoryan, who are not residents of the capital of the republic.

In Armenia, the fight against crime bosses began in May 2018, after being appointed to the post of prime minister – Minister Nikol Pashinyan. The police began raids on the homes of prominent representatives of the criminal community.
