Vice President of the PCT: the cost of tours from Russia to Turkey has grown 1.6 times
– for the upcoming holidays and room stock reduction. This was announced by the vice-president of the Russian Union of Travel Industry (RST) Dmitry Gorin.
As the speaker specified, such conclusions were made on the basis of Rosstat data, which indicate that prices for tours from 23 to 29 November increased 1.6 times.
Nevertheless, Gorin noted that this is a normal situation that is observed annually on the eve of the New Year. “This is due to dynamic pricing, which is based on demand, the number of vacant places in hotels and on planes, fuel prices, air tickets, the number of flights, and so on,” the expert explained.
In addition, he recalled that Turkey is one of the most popular holiday destinations among Russians. At the same time, some of the hotels are closed in winter, which is why fewer offers are available to tourists. “It should also be borne in mind that in the winter season, the number of charter programs to Turkey is decreasing – this also affects prices,” the agency's interlocutor added.
In conclusion, he added that you can save on travel by purchasing early booking promotions – at this time, you can find tours with discounts from 10 to 40 percent.
Earlier in November, tourism industry experts had already warned Russians about a possible increase in prices for holidays in Turkey in 2022. The depreciation of the Turkish lira and the increased demand of foreign tourists for travel to the republic may lead to the fact that next year prices at the country's resorts may rise up to 60 percent.
