Head of the Gamaleya Gunzburg Center: Russia produced 150 thousand doses of Sputnik M vaccine
Director of the Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology named after Gamaleya, Alexander Gintsburg named the number of doses of the coronavirus vaccine for adolescents produced in Russia “Sputnik M”. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
“We have already released about 150 thousand doses. By the end of the year, we plan to release about 200-250 thousand doses into civilian circulation, “the head of the center said.
On November 30, Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko said that at the moment the first series of the Gam-COVID vaccine have been produced in Russia -Vak M “for teenagers – it is expected that it will go into civil circulation in 15-18 days. According to the head of the Ministry of Health, the drug has already arrived for control in state laboratories.
The registration of the COVID-19 vaccine for adolescents in Russia became known on November 24, its second name is “Sputnik M”. According to the results of clinical trials, the drug has high efficacy and safety. The vaccine was created on the same platform as Sputnik V, it is two-component – the interval between vaccinations should be 21 days.
